Clash of Champions I

Welcome! I’m happy to announce the second-ever Clash of Champions. If you don’t know, Clash of Champions is Amiibo Dojo’s official tournament series that anyone can enter. Do you think your amiibo can contend with the best? Enclosed are instructions on how you can get in on this action!

How to enter your Amiibo

All you need to enter is an Amiibo Powersaves or an NFC-compatible Android device. These will allow you to create a .BIN file of your amiibo, which you can send to me – I can then bring it to life with my Power Tag!

Tournament Rules

The rules are the exact same as last time. Double elimination, with each set being best 2 out of 3 games. The matches will be 2-stock, 6 minutes. Each person is allowed to enter one amiibo. If you have a friend or family member that wants to enter, too, that’s fine, just make sure the owners are different. The stages will be omega-only.

All bonus effects and combinations will be allowed – however, Little Mac is still banned. Anyone who sends over the files for a Little Mac amiibo will be disqualified.  Your amiibo’s stats must also not exceed 120 when added together – for example, 40/40/40 and 120/200/-200 are fine, because when you add them together, you get 120. Anybody who sends an amiibo whose stat total is over 120 will be disqualified. Sorry!

The tournament will be held on June 1st, 2016. That’s a Wednesday, by the way.

Entry deadline

You have until Tuesday, May 31st to send your amiibo to me at amiibocloud@gmail.com. Within your email, attach a .bin file and your nickname on the Amiibo Dojo forums (if you’re on there), or if you’re not on the forum, provide the name you want to use on the bracket.

Still no prize this time around, sorry. I don’t have the funds to provide one! Maybe someday, though. Again, you have until the 31st to submit your amiibo. If you have any questions, please send them to amiibocloud@gmail.com. Thanks!

You might be wondering – why is it called “Clash of Champions I” if it’s the second tournament? That’s because the first one was called Clash of Champions 0. It was a test run of sorts.

  2. My amiibo is participating in this tournament, but how can I follow it? Can I see the matches on YouTube or do you post the winners here?

    1. I post to-the-minute updates on Twitter. I can’t post the YouTube matches of every amiibo because there’s a limit of 3 minutes per match and 10 uploads per day, and uploads take like 30 minutes each…you can see where I’m going with this. I’m going to upload Winners Finals, Grand Finals, and Losers Finals. There’s also a bracket: challonge.com/clashofchampions1
