The Super Smash Bros. series amiibo figures were first released on November 21, 2014. Since then, the amiibo metagame has come a long way, with hundreds of participating trainers and even more individual entries. The age of Smash 4 is coming to a close, and now it’s time to compile a list of the ten most influential amiibo in the history of the metagame.
We’re not talking about fighters as a whole here: instead, we’re talking about individual trainers’ amiibo that contributed to the development of the metagame. Without further ado, let’s get started with what may be our final Smash 4 post.

After the horrors of having no internet for the greater part of last week, I have returned! And let me tell you friends, I am excited. After 15 sets of matches spread out over two months, the Seasonal Amiibo League Team Invitational is ready to begin its first Playoffs (and AntiPlayoffs) ever!
The questions we asked two weeks ago about to be answered so, in the immortal words of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer:
Come inside, the show’s about to start!
Guaranteed to blow your head apart
Rest assured you’ll get your money’s worth

Last Wednesday made NO SENSE! Day 11 of SALTI should have clarified the playoff picture a lot. There was an edge case where a massive amount of upsets happened that could muddy up the playoff picture rather than make it clearer. But that wasn’t likely, right?
Wrong. Day 11 was the day of the underdog. Of the sixteen matches we had, the lower ranked team won TEN of them! These weren’t some mild underdogs either. The bottom ranked teams in both divisions won. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. To quote Jason Kelce of the Philadelphia Eagles after they won the Super Bowl, “You know what an underdog is? It’s a hungry dog.”
Well, the hungry dogs ate last week. So let’s dive in and see what a mess the underdogs have made of the S.A.L.T.I. standings.

Note: Do not repost the full training method without direct permission from the Amiibo Dojo. It took a long time to develop it!
The way we’ve approached training amiibo has stayed the same for quite some time now. Even though our current methods are tried and true, I’m always testing new training methods behind-the-scenes. And now, I’ve cooked up a fresh concept after toying with it for several hours. It’s called Reverse Feeding, and it comes with a slew of never-before-seen benefits.
